short glimpses of hyper-activity in the bush, collected and composed from over 120 hours of recordings which were made during a period of 2 weeks in mmabolela reserve, south africa.
listening to the incredible and fascinating sounds created by the animals in mmabolela truly blew me away and stretched my mind, i heard sounds come from animals that i never thought possible.. again and again..

all of these moments (with the exception of no. 5) were recorded by sources of water.

sounds captured during the 'sonic mmabolela' residency, co-organized by francisco lopez and james webb in november, 2014.
